Essentially, a ‘minigamegift’ is a mini game and a gift combined, hence the name! As video game lovers ourselves, we create games where YOU can customise, creating a personalised feel to them. The best part is that you can then share your customised game with friends and family!
Pretty cool right? But how does it all work?
How does Minigamegift work?
Minigamegift runs on your web browser, so there is no need for downloads. All you need is a unique secret link to play the game!
How do I create a Minigamegift?
Creating your own minigamegift is simple and straightforward, we have designed our steps to make the process as seamless as possible. We promise it only takes less than 5 minutes!
Choose Your Game
Head to our browse page to view all of our games. In this page, you will see a variety of games with different gameplay styles, themes and looks. Clicking on a game will bring you to its description page.
Take your time to view each game’s description, where you can get more information about the game itself, as well as view various screenshots from the game.
When you have decided on a game, click on the ‘Personalise This Game’ button and you will be taken to the game's customisation page, where you can start adding your own customisations!
Customisation Process
Firstly, we’ll need your recipient’s first name, so it appears in the game's introduction!
Then, customise the game's player character to look like your recipient for a personalised feel! On our character customiser, click on the red arrow buttons to change specific characteristics of the character.
The preview avatar shows you what the character will look like in-game.
Next, depending on the type of game you have chosen, you will be asked to enter different kinds of information. For example, in our message style games, you can add up to 3 custom messages that you want your recipient to see in-game.
Don't forget to preview the messages to see what it would look like in-game!
You can also add an optional final message that will appear at the end of the game as it fades to black. If you don't enter anything, the game will show a default message of "Thanks For Playing!".
And that's it! You have finished customising your game. Before continuing, it is important to double check on the customisations you have entered as you won't be able to change them once you proceed from this stage.
Once you are happy with your game, click on the 'Add to Shopping Cart' button.
After adding your game to the shopping cart, a full summary of your customisation and order will be displayed for you.
If you have realised there was a mistake in your game, simply click on 'Remove Game' and it will be discarded, where you can create another one after.
Alternatively, if you want to add more games to your order, simply click on 'Continue Shopping!' to be redirected back to the browse page. Don't worry, your existing game will still remain saved in the cart!
Once you are happy with your order, we'll require just a little more information about you to complete your purchase. As your recipient(s) will want to know that you are the one giving them the game, we will need your first name so it appears in-game too!
We also need your email address so we can send you the unique secret link to play the game. This is important to get right as we don't want to send the link to an invalid or incorrect email address!
Finally, all you have to do now is click on the 'Confirm and Checkout' button to be redirected to the checkout page. To ensure your payment information and details are secure, we use Stripe as our payment vendor.
How do I play and share my Minigamegift?
One you have made payment, check the inbox of the email address you have provided us with. You should see a confirmation email from us on your purchase, which also contains the secret link to your game. If you cannot find it, please check your junk/spam folders as sometimes it gets redirected there.
Your game will be ready to play instantly, so click on the link to play the game you've just created!
When you are ready, all that is left to do is to send this link to your intended recipient in whichever way you like. For example, you can share it over chat messages!
